Dianne was born in Bowmanville and grew up on a farm in Enniskillen surrounded by nature.

Painting for Dianne evolved later in life when she turned to art as a source of relaxation from a busy hospital career. It was not until 1997 that she discovered the joy of pen, ink and watercolour.

Dianne has studied from pen and ink artist Claudia Nice and watercolour artist Karen Richardson who challenged and motivated her to refine and bring realism to her work. A deep love of nature and her rural heritage is reflected in her artwork, from the birds, animals and flowers in her garden to the rustic buildings and landscapes found in the area.

Dianne starting showing and selling her artwork in 1999 when she was asked to be part of the Millennium Group Solo Exhibitions at the Bowmanville Town Hall.

Dianne is also a regular participant in the Camp Samac Art Festivals, Oshawa Spring and Fall Art Festivals, Spring Studio tour and Artist in the Garden tours in Oshawa.

Dianne is privileged to be a life member of the Oshawa Art Association and enjoys sharing her experiences. She started teaching pen and ink classes in 2014 and finds the experience both fun and rewarding.
